The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to get past the Tennessee Titans, but the win might not have come without a price.
Quarterback Dennis Dixon became the latest player at the position to be sidelined after injuring his left knee.
Dixon was removed from the game and replaced with Charlie Batch. He was questionable to return but was never brought back into the game.
Head coach Mike Tomlin said the extent of the injury is unknown and that the team will have to run some tests to learn more. (Read More…)

Pittsburgh Steelers left tackle Max Starks suffered a high ankle sprain against Atlanta and could miss several weeks.
Starks is expected to be out anywhere from a few weeks to a month, meaning he could miss some pivotal games.
The last thing the Steelers need is their quarterback’s blind side not being protected from opposing pass rushers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have named Dennis Dixon the team’s starting quarterback for the first four games of the season.
This hardly comes as a surprise after backup Byron Leftwich injured his knee and will miss several weeks.
Dixon will try to keep the Steelers in good shape while Ben Roethlisberger serves his four-game suspension.
He looked pretty good in his only start last year when the team lost in overtime on the road to the Ravens. (Read More…)
