The Pittsburgh Steelers got back on the winning track in a big way with a 35-3 rout of the Oakland Raiders.
The biggest news to come out of the game was the slap to the face taken by Ben Roethlisberger.
The result was a personal foul penalty and ejection of Richard Seymour, but it looked like Big Ben may have provoked him.
Interestingly enough, the offensive line surrounding Big Ben didn’t react much when he was thrown down to the turf, which seemed very telling to me. (Read More…)

The Pittsburgh Steelers were nothing more than roadkill in a 39-26 loss to the New England Patriots.
The vaunted Steelers defense gave up a touchdown on the opening drives of the first and second half, and it was a real struggle the final 30 minutes.
The offense only put three points on the board in the first half and most of their scoring came in garbage time.
They were without wide receiver Hines Ward for most of the night after he suffered a concussion in the first quarter. (Read More…)

The Pittsburgh Steelers have likely lost defensive end Aaron Smith for the season with a torn triceps muscle.
If Smith cannot return to the team before the end of the year, it will be the second straight season he has suffered such an injury.
Head coach Mike Tomlin said the team will hold off on putting him on injured reserve, hoping he can make it back at some point.
Smith is considered Pittsburgh’s third most important defense player behind James Harrison and Troy Polomalu. (Read More…)
